Geocache Description:

Hidden in one the largest intact hardwood forests along the Oak Ridges Moraine is the Happy Valley Cache. This cache is one of the most remote caches you will find close to the GTA. To place this cache, I bushwacked a good kilometre or more to get it to its final location.

Read below for useful info about where to access the cache from.

To access this cache, I do not recommend tackling it from the north off of Sideroad 17 as there are numerous properties that front the road.

There is a trail that begins where the northern stretch of Concession 7 ends (just west of the end of Sideroad 17). The trail heads in a generally southern direction but I am not sure exactly where it goes.

You could also try and access it off of the southern portion of Concession Road 7. The road ends a few hundred metres after Sideroad 16 becomes Concession Road 7 so you would have to park at the end of the road and then walk north along the closed portion of Concession 7 until you find a good spot to start heading east into the bush.

You could also access it by heading north off of the Oak Ridges Trail. There is an old fence that runs north/south that you could follow through the woods but at a certain it veers off and you need to continue heading north. There are some very old fences in the area that have been crushed by trees and you need cross one or two to continue north. There will be some properties on the left and right going this way so make sure not to tresspass. This is the way I took but the above two paths may be easier.

In every case, you will need to venture into the woods. Give yourself some time to find this cache as it is more challenging then many of the usual caches in the GTA.

The cache is a large metal water bottle wrapped in silver duct tape. Inside is a log, pen, and a couple items to trade with.
