Geocache Description:

This is a multi cache and, unsurprisingly, the cache is not at the given coordinates. However parking is available here. Alternatively there is street parking available along the unmade 'ancient highway' of Cross Road at the edge of the park. The park is also connected to the Spen Valley Green Way.

Victoria Park is situated right at the edge of Bradford, on the border with Kirklees. The village of Oakenshaw actually straddles the boundary, with some streets under Bradford council and some under Kirklees. The boundary roughly follows Low Moor Beck. which runs along the edge of the park. The park can get quite muddy in wet conditions, particularly as you get closer to the beck.

To find the cache you must visit certain parts of the park to find the numbers you need to complete the coordinates.

1 - The Low Moor Explosion plaque: Type of shells? A = number of letters in the word.

2 - War Memorial Monument: B = Number of stripes on this chaps stockings.

3 - Gap in t' wall: C = Number of gaps in the wall minus 1.

4 - Forest sign. Name of forest? D = numbers of letters in the words minus 1
UPDATE - the sign has faded but used to say WHITE ROSE FOREST
5 -Boulders on the green way. E = number of boulders.

The cache is located at : N53 44.ADE W1 45.CAB

Cache placed with the kind permission of Bradford Council.

You can check your final coordinates at GeoChecker.com.
