Geocache Description:

Bring Your Own Pen.

Tin Shui Wai Nullah is a concrete channel running through the whole Tin Shui Wai New Town and eventually draining into inner Deep Bay. It has three tributaries, namely, stream at Ha Tsuen, Shek Po Channel and Tin Sam Channel. It covers a catchment area of 16 km2, with a total stretch of 27 km in length.

The nullah was heavy polluted. The major pollution sources were discharges from livestock farms (pig farms) and unsewered villages in the catchment.

As the governmnet persuaded farm owners/operators closed their farms and enforced Waste Disposal Ordinance and the Waste Disposal (Livestock Waste) Regulations, the sewage released is under control. The water quantity is now better.
