This cache can be accessed from many paths making it a much shorter or longer walk if you look at an os map.
I would suggest accessing these woods from the footpath at N50.54.727 W1.50.539 on Daggons Road as it is an easier, less muddy route but not really suitable for buggies or wheelchairs.
Please do not park at the start of the footpath but in the village.
If accessing from Station Road, there is a style to cross, a field that is often muddy and there are roots in parts of the path so this is definately not suitable for buggies or wheelchairs. If using this route, cross the style and follow the footpath across the field and take the left path up onto the old railway embankment. At N50.54.882 W1.50.059 there is a small stream to jump and a broken fence to negotiate. As at July 2012 the old railway track has trees down across it, although still negotiable.
This is the second cache I have placed on one of our early morning walks. It’s a peaceful area and at the time of placing (April) the primroses on the old railway embankment are lovely.
There is a clear footpath to within 3ft of the cache.
The cache is a small tupperware container suitable for small swaps and trackables.
There are three other caches not too far away, GC3FNBP,GC3CFN5 and GC19ZQ8 and several others at the other end of Alderholt.
The cache is hidden in woodland my gps said the accuracy is 9ft but if you feel the co ordinates are off please let me know. I have included a spoiler photo if needed.
To allow the wildlife peace no night caching please.
