This is a multi-cache that will take you through the steps of tree identification in order to obtain the subsequent sets of coordinates for more trees and then finally, the stash. All TREES are located in the Omaha Metro Area and do not require more than a 0.1 mile walk if any.
The coordinates listed are to the first tree you must identify. It is tree #1. Identify tree #1. You will need to find the scientific/latin name for this species and all the others. THIS CACHE REQUIRES YOU TO FIND THE SCIENTIFIC/LATIN NAME as the common names can vary. After you identify Tree #1, the following is the code for the following trees. Note: A few of these trees are on private property but the coordinates will be on the public sidewalk or street that is directly adjacent (or underneath) the tree. Locations: Tree #2 - N41 1A.167 W95 56.755 A = the numerical value of the fourth letter of tree #1's GENUS name. (coordinates will take you close to another tree as well. You're looking for the evergreen) Tree #3 - N41 18.B49 W96 07.887 B= # of syllables in name of Tree #2 Tree #4 - N41 13.07C W96 10.CC8 C = # of letters that appear only once in Tree #3 Tree #5 - N41 11.918 W96 D8.56D D = # of 'y's in Tree #4 Tree #6 - N41 11.E58 W96 08.220 E = add numerical values of entire Latin/scientific name and then subract 128. (i.e. A=1, B=2, C=3, etc) Final stash - In a small grove of Thuja Occidentalis within three hundred feet of these coordinates: N41 DA.BCE W96 DA.1CE. Final stash is a .30 cal. ammo can with these contents when placed: "Assassin" by Ted bell (novel) "The Game" (VHS movie) Forever country 3cd set 6 pack of foot warmers One new bottle of 100% deet insect repellent A few packaged 30% deet insect wipes log book and pencil.
