Geocache Description:

Ballypatrick Forest Park is probably the largest forest park in Antrim and is on the A2 between Cushendall and Ballycastle. It has the longest marked drive of any forest in Northern Ireland.

The co-ordinates should take you to a bench seat but the cache is only a few metre behind this.

Before you, you will see a double horned cairn fom approximately 4000 years ago. This is an ancient burial ground. The close proximity of the trees makes this a quiet and calm place. The ground is quite damp underneath typical of this type of terrain and peaty conditions.

The cache is a large tab-lock box and when placed contained a log book, pen and a few swap items. When replacing, try to keep tucked up against the back of the tree but out of the gully/trench.

Please see #1 for access information.
