Geocache Description:

A camoed lock and lock, with room for several small to medium items as well as trackables.
In any season this can be a high muggle traffic area. Please use stealth to keep the cache safe.

Waterworks Park is one of my favourite places to go for birding, hiking and wildlife viewing. It is an oasis right in the city that allows you a little escape from busy, noisy city life.
There is something for everyone who enjoys the outdoors and new things to discover every season. In spring look for an abundance of wildflowers in the grassland areas and trillium in the shade of the woods. The flowers attract several species of butterflies including monarchs in and around the dyke paths where milkweed in plentiful.
Look for deer with new fawns in late spring and early summer. Fall brings many migrating birds on their way to warmer climes as well as gorgeous autumn colour to the forest. Winter is special and beautiful after a fresh snowfall. Everything is silent and magical, deer tracks crisscross every path and cardinals flit through trees looking crimson against the white backdrop. Bring some sunflower seed as well, for if you're patient, chickadees can be persuaded to eat right from you hand.
Enjoy your visit here no matter what the season. Please respect your surroundings and practice CITO. Please tread as carefully as possible when retrieving the cache and rehide it exactly as you found it to keep it a challenge for everyone. It contains some fun items to get it started. Please trade up or trade even.
Depending on the time of year some light bushwhacking may be necessary. In winter the cache could possibly be snow-covered.
