Geocache Description:

THIS CACHE IS NOT AT THE LISTED COORDINATES. YOU'LL NEED TO LEARN MORE ABOUT SUE STORM TO SEE WHERE THIS CACHE REALLY IS. IT'S ALL ABOUT SUE STORM.

When Stan Lee and Jack Kirby produced the first issue of The Fantastic Four in 1961, it not only kick-started started the "Marvel Age of Comics," it also blew open the door of how superheroes could be portrayed. Unlike DC at the time, Marvel's new heroes were human -- they had problems, worries, and fears. They argued and fought, as well as loved and laughed. Jack "King" Kirby, who sadly passed away in the late nineties, once said "I have a genuine feeling for real people and what I do is recreate them in a fantastic formula.' Kirby was a visionary and responsible for the creation or co-creation of most Marvel characters we see in movies today. He had incredible vision and could see the big picture and percieve the minute humanity in his characters, too. 'Characterization is the most important thing in any story,' Lee once said. 'first I thought of the kind of character I wanted, then I figured out what kind of super power he'd have.' in a field where gimmicks were usually considered to be most important, the approach was revolutionary. Did Lee know he was irrevocably changing the face of comics? Could he see what the industry needed? Who knows. You don't care. You just want to see the cache at the end of the rainbow, right? Background story: Stealing a space ship (which was apparently easy back in the sixties), four individuals would sail into a shower of Cosmic Rays and gain tremendous powers. Aloof and brainy Reed Richards would become Mr. Fantastic with incredible stretching powers. Benjamin J. Grimm, the gruff, cigar-chomping hot shot pilot would become the loveable outcast brute known as the Thing. Hot-tempered, hot-shot driver Johnny Storm would become an updated Human Torch. Rounding out the group was Sue Storm - Johnny's sister and Reed's fiance. She would become the matriarch of the Fantastic Four, the group's mother-like figure, the caregiver, the peacemaker, its hot-goddess upper class uptown girl, too. In time, the Invisible Girl would become the lynchpin of the group and her powers would be recognized as far greater than just invisibility.
