This is another series of 8 caches that we developed with the help of the littlest Weebles. The idea is to provide a little bit of variety to the “Traditional Cache”. We tried to make it kid friendly. These contain only a log, so please bring a pencil and maybe tweezers. Enjoy!
This next animal has a large body with stocky legs, a long snout, shaggy hair, paws with five non-retractile claws, and a short tail. They are omnivorous, with largely varied diets including both plants and animals. Despite their heavy build and awkward gait, they can run quickly and are adept climbers and swimmers. They use shelters such as caves and burrows as their dens, which are occupied by most species during the winter for a long period of sleep similar to hibernation.
While these guys are common in Newfoundland, for the most part they will leave you alone if you give them lots of space. Remember that as you search for this cache....
Suggest you drive to the end of Laurie Road and park at 47 34.267N 052 54.098W. You can drive to the beach but you will have to backtrack to the remaining caches.
