Geocache Description:

At an association meeting on October 12, 1906, a plat map and Order of the Association was approved with divisions, blocks, and lots created. There would be ten lots in a block and each lot would cost $1.00. The Board of Directors created divisions for the burial of the poor or those who were unable to purchase a lot. The plat map reflects that the area was called "Potter's Field". As more people settled in Livingston and the children of the pioneer families made extensive use of the cemetery,it has twice been enlarged to accommodate the city's needs. The Assocation continues to administer and maintain the cemetery. Its goal is to maintain future care of the cemetery and to provide a final resting place for anyone who wishes to be buried there.
