"Do you believe
The clear white light
Is going to guide us on?
Running along the ground singing a song in the morning light
Follow flowery fields as far as out of sight
Turning your head to the clouds and the skies and the trees
'cause you never know what you might see"
- Alan Hull
This is one of a series of 3 caches not far from the Holy Island of Lindisfarne each named after a track by the 1970's folk/rock band "Lindisfarne"
Clear White Light was the band's (uncharted) single and the opening track on their debut album "Nicely Out of Tune. Original members Alan Hull, Ray Jackson, Simon Cowe, Rod Clements and Ray Laidlaw were all from the North East and took their name from the rugged island off the coast of Northumberland.
The cache overlooks the island and causeway. Today although not bright sunshine it was bathed in glorious brightness and the song "Clear White Light" popped into my head.
Sue made the custom logbook and the FTF prize of a fridge magnet.
