Thank You Birder Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Team Smokey: Checked on this one last week and it was gone. This was not a cache that would likely have been stumbled upon. Just sayin'.

Geocache Description:

This cache is located in Bowdoin Park along the RED trail.

As the name implies, this cache is a tribute to birder428. She hosted the Rockin' Robin Leap Day event in which 28 geocaching teams attended (although there were probably over 50 people there) despite one of the worst snow events of the season.

We won this cache container in the raffle and pretty much since then, had wanted to place the cache in her honor. Birder not only hosted an awesome event and has a bunch of great local caches in the area, but you have to admire the time she spends maintaining her caches too. It is not often you see any of her caches needing maintenance much over a week's time.

So, here's to you birder, and thanks for the cache!

NOTE: Picking your approach to the cache from the trail correctly will enable you to avoid the poison ivy and the thorns.
