There will be someone in the cafe from 10am till noon for the usual geochat and tb swapping, and it will be a great place to escape the rain showers! Then there is a great park to enjoy with lots going on.
There are 7 geocaches in the park, and one just outside.
4 are puzzle caches (you will need headphones), 1 is a multi, and 3 are traditionals with a range of difficulties.
I will prepare a summary sheet with them all on for the day.
**There will be two new caches in the park, published on the day.*
One will be a stealthy traditional.
The other will be a 'Child-friendly' Multi. It will have something to find at each stage, not too far apart. However, I do not have time to put together a cache full of great swapping items. So, please could you bring a couple of items to put in the final cache for swaps. I will load it on the day with chocolate and sweets, so you will have something to swap it with. Hopefully by the end, all of the edible things will be gone, and a cache full of swappable goodies will be left for future kiddies!!
There are also lots of open spaces to run around in, a lake to hire boats on, a children's play area, a railway to ride on, crazy golf and pitch and putt, craft workshops and a busy duck pond.
There is also an archeology weekend happening. You can book in for an hour session digging for history between 10am-4pm. Contact markeatonpark.project@derby.gov.uk to book a space, places are limited.

There are two options for parking in the park (see waypoints) which are £1.80 for 4hrs.
After the event...
It is not far into town for a few urban caches, there are plenty of drive by's around, or there are a variety of countryside walks not far too!
