This cache has been placed by Troop 11 Coventry in Rhode Island. We came to Beacon, NY to visit the plane crash site of Naval war hero - Dixie Kiefer (also see geo challenge: CX4517). While here, we fell in love with the beautiful scenery and wanted to place a memory of our hiking fun here. So, while you are on your way up to the fire tower, have a break and grab a cache along the way!
The terrain rating is due to the hike up from the base of the mountain to the fire tower.
