Geocache Description:

Log only cache.

A simple bison tube cache near the entrance to Chinatown. There are, of course, many centers of Chinese and Chinese-American populations throughout the Los Angeles metropolitan area, such as in the San Gabriel Valley, but this is the historic Chinatown district. It isn't the original location, as the community moved in 1938 from just several blocks to the southeast to make room for the construction of Union Station. Nowadays, there seems to be a lot more Vietnamese and Cambodian spoken around here.

This can be a busy area with lots of people going past; good place to utilize your stealth. Terrain is wheelchair accessible, assistance may be needed for retrieval and replacement.

For a fun experience, wander deep within the stalls in the interior of the shopping plaza (reference point). Your GPSr might actually help, it's easy to get lost in there.

Just watch out for those dragons!

Congratulations to rammd for being FTF!
