Blue B.A.S.E. weasel Traditional Cache

This cache is temporarily unavailable.

Marko Ramius: I was reviewing caches in the area that appear to need maintenance or have been temporarily disabled for an extended period of time. I see that this one hasn't had a status update from the owner in the past few months. Obviously, we give extra time when a cache must be disabled for reasons beyond the owner's control, but it does help to have periodic updates.

Please post a note to the cache page to let us all know the status: Any plans to replace (now or in the future)? A report that the area is not yet ready for a cache placement? A simple note on the cache page just to let us know that you haven't forgotten about the cache?

Please respond on this cache page within the next 30 days. If we do not hear from you, we may conclude that the cache has been abandoned and the cache may be archived. Please be aware that caches that are archived due to a lack of communication or maintenance may not be unarchived.

Please note that since 2022 when Geocaching HQ declared it to be "The Year of the Hide," greater emphasis has been placed on "refreshing the gameboard" which means that our SoCal volunteer Reviewers will be more aggressively freeing up space for new caches to replace old ones that are not being properly maintained. In this vein, a response on the cache page from the cache owner is required to avoid archival.

Thank you for your understanding.

Geocache Description:

A small cache beside a side trail that this year grass took over. If people are not using it, animals are. I was able to spot deer and coyotes tracks. Also, a resident weasel uses it.
I always liked to ride this side/service trail as it gives me the overlook or the stream on the side, bellow.

I was riding my bike, minding my own business, enjoying the nature and the evening, and then there was this little weasel carrying a mouse in her mouth, who jumped in front of me on the road, I swear it didn't see me, ran for a while, then realized I was behind it, and then dropped the mouse and ran away on this side trail. I was thinking to myself "wow, I've never seen a weasel in the canyon so far, I've seen bunnies, coyotes, deer... And then I almost collided with fawn, which was crossing the road. As I almost fall of the bike as I stopped, I reached for my cell phone to make a picture, but the deer was already far, far away. I let my bike, went back, the mouse was still on the road. I squad down, waited for about 4 min and weasel was back for her dinner :) And I managed to capture a few photos of it!
As I had my super dooper Motorola Atrix in my hands ( ) I checked geocaching.com, and this was just a narrow spot where another cache could be squeezed in. So what a heck, here is another cache for you to find
Mario keychain/flashlight for FTF price

BTW, this is not a closed trail. But this is the Deer territory, deer go together with ticks. Beware. Also watch for snakes.
