Located in Richard Trails, off of Route 2 in Charlestown, RI. Simple cache and not too far of a walk.
This cache is located in Richard Trails off of Route 2 in Charlestown, RI. Parking is available in a small parking lot at the site.
Richard Trails is Charlestown's newest public land. While the name contains the word 'trails', you won't find any leading into the woods from the parking lot. Therefore, bushwhacking is required although it is not difficult. There's no thick undergrowth or thorns to get in your way. It makes for a nice hike through the wilderness if you decide to continue after you find it. The cache is a small tupperware container and you can still see the parking lot from the site if you're concerned about getting lost in the woods.

UPDATE 12/14/2012: Checked on the cache today and discovered that there is indeed a trail being cut into the woods. Luckily the cache was not disturbed during its creation, and is now conveniently located just off the trail. The pen situation is a bit iffy now since there is just half a pen in there, so bring your own just in case and I'll work on replacing what is there. Also, there is now a sign requiring you to wear orange during hunting season.
