Geocache Description:

FTF Prize is a signed box of hand-tied Stanley Cooper flies. Good luck!

Congrats to Over the Hill Gang for the FTF!

The town of Stull originated around 1890, during the growth of its neighbor Noxen. It was named after the sawmill located by the now concrete bridge spaning Bowmans Creek. The town boasted its own church, a school with 90 students, a post office, and even a candy store. The Stull sawmill employed around 50 men. The sawmill was a dangerous place to work, and after its third fire, the owners decided not to continue. The ruins of the mill lay in place until 1918, when it was salvaged for scrap for the WWI effort. The town disinegrated, and farmland and woods took its place. Today a few homes surround the area, and the creek quietly rolls past an area where a generation once flourished.
