This cache has been placed on private property with permission of the land owner. We wanted a placement that could be well protected as well as easily accessed and found without tearing up any landscaping! It can be grabbed from the driveway pavement without stepping on any ground cover.
The Pack has always felt that the best part of geocaching are the great people that you meet.... whether along the geo-trail, at an event, or at a ground zero. There seems to be an instant "geo-bond" formed followed, of course, by exchanging geo-tales.
This cache is not only a tribute to all such connections but to one in particular. We were caching in Wickenburg, Arizona when we pulled up to a GZ on residential property. Since it was getting dark, we decided to forgo the search and return to our hotel room. Then we heard a hearty "hello" (along with many four-legged hello's!). The two-legged greeter was PANDA77 (Pat). We soon learned that Pat is not only an avid cacher but a cache container creator extraordinaire! He constructs all sorts of unique containers from recycled materials. Before we knew it, he bestowed us with a metal saguaro cactus to take back home and use as a cache site. What an incredibly generous offer! Thanks again, Pat, for the gift. We hope that it has a long and healthy cache life.
You are looking for a camo'd metal box between the size of a micro and a small. It is able to hold geocoins and small trackables. BYOP. Enjoy!
