Geocache Description:

This cache is on the grounds of a south Moorhead church and has been placed with the permission of the minister.

Photographer Eric Enstrom took the photo “Grace” in Bovey, Minnesota in 1918. The photograph is of an elderly gentleman giving thanks for a simple meal. The image was made the official state photograph in 2002.


The original photograph was black and white. Mr. Enstrom’s daughter, Rhoda Nyberg, later hand painted the black and white photo with oil paint. It was the colorized version, with the window add, that captured the attention of so many.
