This afternoon we had a puzzling adventure with Greenback. We decided to start the day off at one of our favorite eateries. He got the "Spectacular" (liverwurst, what is it anyway?) and I had my usual "High Flyer". After confirming this was a worthy lunch destination - a hide was approved.
Today's lesson - always be prepared to make a hide/perform maintenance. I was given a glimpse into a well stocked cacher's tackle box. I have a new perspective on some of the things that should always travel with you.
Lesson two - when doing a coords reading do not place too close to a wall, as the signal will bounce and you will get a less accurate reading. This is something to consider in the more 'urban' hides.
We had a great day and as always - appreciate learning more tricks of the trade.
