There is same name of this station in Shizuoka prefecture, too. The name has “new” (shin), but it was opened in 1923. Kashiwa Soba Noodle is very popular in Kushiro city. Have fun!! Please bring your pen.
静岡県にも全く同じ名前の駅があります。名前に新とつきますが歴史は古く１９２３年に開業しました。駅名の富士は、開業当時駅前にあった製紙工場の企業名が富士製紙であったころに由来します。今はありませんが、当時は既に富士駅があったため、新富士駅という名になりました。話は違いますが、釧路ではかしわそばが人気です。若鶏ではなく親鳥の硬い肉を使ってだしをとるのが特徴です。どうぞ一度召し上がれ。筆記具を持参ください。
