Geocache Description:

The garden of Chikuroen (Old Bamboo Garden) is very beautiful. Chikuroen was established in Kushiro in 1912, and the garden was denominated as “Chikuroen” in 1927. The emperor in Showa had been to Chikuroen in 1954. Please bring your pen.

竹老園の庭園は釧路市の景観賞にも入選するなど見事なものです。釧路での竹老園の創業は１９１２年で、１９２７年には庭園が竹老園と命名されました。１９５４年には昭和天皇が訪れています。筆記具を持参ください。
