Geocache Description:

Number 7 of a series of caches that take you on a circular tour of the Harelaw Dam. The whole series takes about 2 hours and walking boots are recommended.

Harelaw Dam was constructed in 1844. It is a large shallow reservoir (average depth 7 feet and maximum 13 feet) extending to 102 acres and has over 3 miles of shoreline. There are 4 dams and three islands.

The seventh and final cache in the series takes you close to the minor road that you started on, just South of Moyne Farm from where it is time to head due North back to the car park, enjoying the views to the North and West as you go!
