This cache is located near the old baseball fields of the historic Moffett Field.
Moffett Field is open to the public - This cache is only accessibly by US Citizens and Green Card holders. The AMES Research side is not accessible to the general public, but the side where Airship Ventures Building 20 is located is. It may be easier to enter at the gate on Ellis Street.
Show the security gate your government issued ID and tell them you are going to explore the Historic Museum on base (Wed-Sat 10am-2pm). Exploring the museum really gives a wonderful history lesson of the area.
I have received permission for the placement of this Geocache from the NASA Ames Research Park Chief of Security and Public Inquiries Officer.
The FTF will find a Geocoin and some other little trinkets. A pen has been provided, so please keep it there.
Congratulations to the FTF - The North Star! I will be updating the coordinates when I get a better GPS, but until then, it's really not too difficult to find with the hint! Updated difficulty to 2.5 for the coordinates being slightly off and the stealthiness required on base :)
