Geocache Description:

This cache is placed in a cemetery so no night caching is allowed.

This project begins in 1931, in the small town of Bono, Ohio, (pronounced Bun no) on an onion farm, Howard Farms. Years would pass til in 1947, when some children throwing rocks would put things into motion. Clarence Scharlow would suffer as a result of the rock throwing and would turn the project which he began before WWII, over to his son, Kenneth Sharlow. Kenneth would increase the numbers from three to twenty. Graduation would allow Kenneth to find a job that would increase his knowledge and expertise for this project. But a call would take him in another direction for a while as he pursued his dream, he enlisted in the Coast Guard, reporting for basic training in Alameda CA in November 1951. He served until November 1957. His project would be resumed and for over 50 years he would work on his project, the numbers reaching over 500 for a time. Retirement age would come and for a while still Kenneth Sharlow pursued his FFA project til the day the news went out that he had sold out his project, from 3 to 500 to finally none or is there perhaps one left out there still being watched over??
So follow your GPS to this cache and you will know what his FFA project was, that got out of hand in 1947.
Permission has been given to place this cache.
On December 3, 2014, my Dad, Kenneth Sharlow passed away from aggressive lymphoma. He had given me permission to place this cache obviously before he passed and he had it bookmarked and enjoyed reading the posts. He of course had found it himself. I will in his honor and now in his memory continue to maintain this cache.
