Geocache Description:

A small camo'ed Lock & Lock.

Back in the 60's my grandparents lived on Glenwood Avenue and we would walk to the end of the road and down the path to Springside Park. The hills of mowed grass surrounded a stone walled reflection pool. There were wide steps in to the water where you could get you feet wet but it was too shallow for even a five year old to swim.

Time keeps moving, children grow up and grandparents age. The next time I saw Springside Park I was driving down the road that had taken the place of the path we used to walk.

I was in my thirties before I learned that there was far more to Springside Park than this little corner. In fact, most people that came to the park never came to this spot. I've found all the caches in Springside Park but they never brought me back here.

Today I went back to that little corner of the park to hide a geocache, I believe it's the first to be hidden here. I wish I hadn't. Time keeps moving, if it weren't the little stone arch bridge with the spillway I'd have thought I was in the wrong place.

Congradulations to titanberry on the FTF!
