While hiding this cache I was thinking “what if I hid it really, really good and no one found it for a hundred years? What would people from 2112 think it was? What would they think of the swag I put in it?” They’d probably think I was weird. They’d probably be right.
The posted coordinates are a parking lot. Some of the spaces are permit parking on weekdays, the rest are 3 hour free parking (As of 2017 the lot is all paid parking put there is free parking a few hundred feet up the road). If it takes you that long to find this one, give up.
Across the street is the First Street Commons. It’s had some work done recently and is really starting to look good.
On one of the plaques or signs (you’ll have to figure out which one) there are several numbers. Add them all up and devide by 1,000. Your answer should look like “1.234”.
Add your answer to N 42° 21.055 to get the longitude and add it to W 073° 08.946 to get the latitude of the cache.
If your answer takes you outside of the First Street Commons you might want to recheck you math. Otherwise the three hour parking isn’t going to be enough.
