St Pauls Church, Devon Square, Newton Abbot
The foundation stone was laid in 1859, and the nave was completed and opened in 1860, followed shortly by the North and South Transepts and the Chancel. The church was consecrated in October 1861. The chancel is floored with Minton tiles.
In April 1942 a bomb landed in the churchyard, there was extensive damaged to the windows and the roof at the East end of the church. There remains a small depression where the bomb exploded
