Geocache Description:

This cache is part of the Church Micro Series.

PLEASE exercise care and stealth when finding this cache. It has been moved to another part of the property because the original container was pinched and the original GZ is now compromised. It is now in an area where good old fashioned "caching stealth techniques" can easily be employed!!
Hint remains unchanged and is as accurate now as it always was!
Enjoy!!

The Avenue Church is a local Ecumenical Project made up of folk from the Methodist and United Reform Churches, but folk from various Christian traditions are regular worshippers with us. The LEP came into being in the year 2000, following an informal sharing agreement which ran for over 15 years.
The church building was erected in 1966, on the site of the Queen Street Methodist Church, when folk from that church and Courtenay Street Methodist Church joined together to form the new congregation. The accommodation is designed on simple straightforward lines, airy and centrally heated. In the sanctuary there is a gallery and a good pipe organ. For the hard of hearing, an effective sound amplification/loop system is in place. A laptop is used to project the words of hymns, readings and other Power Point presentations, but hymnbooks,  songbooks and bibles are still available for those members of the congregation who prefer to use them.

If you want further information on this church, and to see photos of the huge range of activities undertaken here, please go to this link to visit their website. (visit link)

Wenglish works at this church as an office administrator, so a special 'Hello' to cachers from the Church Office to you all!!

This is Wenglish's first 'cache-hide', and it is planned to "go live" at 1.00pm on May 26th to coincide with their daughters wedding (which isn't actually at this church, so if you are an avid FTF cacher, you can pop down for it without interrupting the wedding. But do think of us while you do so!!).
cache: you are looking for something between nano and micro in size!

Permission has been kindly given by the wonderful staff at this church, in particular the office administrator who is a smashing chap (Me!!) and a member of the Church Property committee (another smashing chap!!)
Please note that in the mornings, a pre-school is operated from this church. Parents leave their young children safe in the care of the professional pre-school staff. Please exercise due care and consideration if you are lurking around, trying not to look suspicious. You and I both know you are avoiding mugglers. Nervous parents are not so well informed and may think you are up to no good! Thanks.

“If anybody would like to expand to this series please do, I would just ask that you could let Sadexploration know first so he can keep track of the Church numbers and names to avoid duplication.
There is also a Church Micro Stats page found via the Bookmark list”
