L'Arguenon prend sa source au Gouray et se jette dans la Manche à Notre Dame du Guildo.
Sur le cours de cette rivière, cet endroit été choisi pour l'installation des tanneries de Plancoët, aujourd'hui encore présentes mais pratiquement en ruines
Crées par la famille Le Chapelier, elles représentent une activité importante dans la commune jusqu'en 1918. Elles fournissent le cuir à un grand nombre de cordonniers et de fabricants de chaussures demeurant à Plancoët ou à Corseul
Aujourd'hui ce grand espace de verdure a été aménagé pour donner à la ville un magnifique parc du Pré Rolland qui offre aussi la possibilité de faire du sport : activité canoë kayak et parcours santé.

The river 'ARGUEMON' takes its source at the Gouray and flows into the English Channel at 'Notre Dame du Guildo.
On the course of the River, this place was chosen for the installation of the tanneries in Plancoët, today still present but in ruins.
Created by family Le Chapelier, they represented an important activity for the town until 1918. Its provided the leather to a large number of shoemakers and footwears manufacturers of Plancoët or Corseul.
Today this large green area was recreated to give a magnificent park 'Tunney Rolland' that also offers the possibility for sport activities : canoe kayak and marked path for health.
