Under The Boardwalk! Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

villawoman: It's with a sad heart that after so many years I am having to archive this cache, I keep replacing it but I believe someone is playing silly games (that's a polite way of saying it) and taking it away regularly, this has happened quite a few times in the last few months and even twice in a day. Sorry folks, Thanks to all those that have visited over the years.

Geocache Description:

Rare species of plants survive here including the sea pea and the more common sea kale. The boardwalk allows access to the shoreline without trampling on the shingle that supports these plants. It was commissioned by the national heritage fund and is approx. 200metres long running from the road to the shingle bank near the sea. Dungeness is one of the largest expanse of shingle in the world and is a Site of special scientific interest, (sssi) and a protected area of conservation. please replace as found as this keeps going missing. Thank you. Note: Please keep to the walkway!! ********************************************************* Thanks to the Romney Marsh Countryside Partnership for allowing this cache at this location.
