En flott tur i Marum skogen. Serien teller syv cacher. Starter i Brønnumveien og ender ved Marumveien.
Oppfordrer til å parkere ved Skringssal Folkehøyskole. Det finnes ikke parkeringsmuligheter i Brønnumveien eller i veien som går inn fra Marumveien siden. Cache jegere oppfordres til å vise hensyn til beboere langs disse veiene. Det går sykkelsti mellom Brønnumveien og Marumveien, cache ruten ligger mer langs smalere stier, det er fullt mulig å holde seg på den brede sti og ta avstikkere, men da går man også glipp av alt det fine og forunderlige man kan oppleve på den smale sti For eksempel i nærheten av nr. 2 går man opp til Brønnumåsen, her fantes det faktisk en hoppbakke på 60-tallet. Oppe på kollen finnes to gravrøyser, og sør for åsen har det ligget en gammel boplass, Brønnumplassen. Rundt omkring i Marum finnes det også en mengde steingjerder. Steiner som ikke fikk plass i steingjerder ble lagt i rydningsrøyser, og må ikke forveksles med gravrøyser. Når man kommer ned igjen fra åsen og inn på den brede sti igjen, kommer man ut i en vakker allè :) Ferden går også forbi Lavoen til Virik Nærmiljø, en flott plass for en rast. Det er mange kulturminner og informasjon å få på veien, ta dere tid til å lese, se og oppleve, det er vel verdt det. A great walk in the Marum woods. The series counts seven caches, and starts in Brønnumveien and ends in Marumveien. Parking area nearby is Skiringssal Folkehøgskole. There is no parking in Brønnumveien or the private road that goes in from Marumveien. Cache hunters are encouraged to considerate to the people living in the area. There is a bike trail between Brønnumveien and Marumveien. The cache route are on more narrow paths. It is possible to stay on the trail and take detours to the caches, but then you will miss much of the excitement and the beauty that lays along the narrow path :) For example nearby cache no 2, you can go up to Brønnum Hill, here laid a local ski jump facility in the sixties. Up on the hell there are two ancient burial mounds, and south of the hill there have been an old habitation called Brønnumplassen. Around in Marum there are a lot of stone fences. Stones that where left over when building the stone fences where often laid in clearance cairns, these are not to be mistaken for the burial mounds. When you get down from the hill again and the trail goes through a beautiful alley :) The trip also takes you through a great rest area. It is lots of cultural heritage and information along the route, take your time to read, look and experience, it’s well worth it.
