Ferry Spaghetti is also known as the Holmfield Interchange, was opened in January 2006.
This motorway junction takes the A1 the other side of Ferrybridge Power Station.
The Struts holding the the bridges were said to be shaped to resemble the Power Station cooling towers.
It was built to remove large volumes of traffic, including heavy goods vehicles, from communities along the old A1 at Ferrybridge, Brotherton and Fairburn.
Actual cost approximately £187 million. Lower than predicted.
The average weekday traffic flow on the A1(M) is 47,600-62,000
vehicles per day, this can easily be listened to at the site of the cache.
