Geocache Description:

A bit away from the track at the old Butler Athletic Field. Muggles could number 0 to 100+. Container is a matchstick case. BYOP! UPDATE: as reported Stinging Nettle is present. Updated the terrain rating. To totally avoid it try this cache in winter or early spring. Attempt at your own risk.

The Butler Athletic Field and Water Shed Study Area is one of the unique recreational areas in the City of Butler. Originally a site to track and field meets up until the late 1960s, when the Butler Senior High School was located on East North Street, the site is now home to soccer and lacrosse games for school students as well as running and general outdoor recreation for adults and family pets. The Water Shed is in reference to the Connoquenessing Creek that flows around it. Trout fishing is popular here among the residents.
