In the early days of Waimea College, land was leased from the hospital board and used for a small farm. Students learned about fencing, sheep husbandry, farming in general - - and growing kiwifruit. The stream used to run through the property. In the 1990's the hospital board decided they didn't need the large amount of land surrounding Alexander Hospital, and a large number of sections were sold.
Do watch for muggles. This can be a busy place at times. Please ensure the cache is well hidden once you have signed the log.
Note the difficulty level. This is not necessarily a good cache for beginners.
