This is one of the latest areas in the park to be developed and opened.
A shortish walk through the scrubland will bring you to a junction where you can turn left to the lower Cascades or right to the upper Cascades. If you turn left, you will soon enter a lovely shady track full of ferns and palms that follows the crystal clear stream up to the falls, about 1 km from the car park.
In a few places you will have to do a bit of rock hopping to cross the creek, all good fun.
Follow the track up to Curtain falls and enjoy the views and have a dip. If you climb above these falls, you will see the broad rocky river leading up to the upper Cascades. This has many sandy bottom pools you can lounge in as well.
The cache has hopefully been hidden high above the high water mark and away from muggles. The easiest way to reach GZ is to walk from the falls down stream, then follow the broad ledge along the rock face the short distance straight up to GZ. Much easier than trying to scramble directly up to the cache.
