Geocache Description:

It seems everywhere you go in the Dixon Lake/Daley Ranch area there are incredible views. (Then) Mayor Pfeiler really did the community a great service by pushing for the city to acquire the Daley Ranch property and keep it out of the hands of the developers.



We have relocated the cache right next to the trail on the lake side and across from a sign. You don't need to go tromping on the vegetation. Please place it back as you found it -- maybe even a little better? It is a small camo painted container under rocks.

We got here by driving past the Ranger gate (free on a weekday) at Dixon Lake and turning left onto Primitive Road. Go down and across the bridge and park up in the big area where the horse trailers park. Grab a map as you step through the gate onto the Rattlesnake trail if you need one.

Bring water, something to write with, and in case of an emergency a cell phone; there are dangerous critters out here when it warms up and the paths are anything but smooth and even. Be sure to also bring info on the other caches along the way and in the area so you can make it a more productive hike.  And check out Frank's Daley Ranch Roundup Challenge.
