North_of_55: Well it is very sad how a once beautiful memorial has been actively destroyed. The cement with the cenotaph looks like rocks have been thrown down on it or it is simply poor foundation falling apart. However the cenotaph definitely had a rock thrown at it and a panel is broken. The garden beds have not been unkept and the cache hiding spot was ripped right out of the garden bed. I am going to archive. Something as important as this should be unkept and it isn’t

This memorial is a dedication to those who have fallen in the service of our country, both in conflict, in peace keeping operations and those who continue to serve regardless of threat or jeopardy.
Remember them all you who pass this way. They gave their tomorrow that we could have today.
With special commemoration to the dedication and sacrifices made by the 341st Engineers US Army Corps of Engineers stationed at Taylor during the construction of the Alaska-Canada Highway in 1942.
