The South Grove of Sequoia trees at Calaveras Big Trees State Park is a beautiful area of native Sequoias, and the second farthest north of the Sierran groves. This puzzle cache highlights one of the little known facts about this remarkable area.
The posted coordinates should take you to a bench with a plaque on it. To find the coordinates for the final cache you must go to:
N 38 14.ABC
W 120 16.DAD
A- Number of letters in the man's first name.
B- The third digit of the four digit number.
C- Number of letters in the second word.
D- The fourth digit of the four digit number.
Be sure to enjoy the beauty of this amazing grove of trees and feel the power that they have. The Agassiz tree at the end of the trail is one of the biggest of all sequoias and is well worth the long hike out to.
The final cache is a spawn of Holy Macro! within easy walking distance, but the high terrain is because you may have to lay down to make the grab.
