The Twelve Caesars
This series is dedicated to the Twelve Caesars of the Roman Empire. They didn’t always have staying power as rulers but 2000 years have past and half of these guys are house-hold names.
Most of the following information is taken from the work of Suetonius, who’s biography of Julius Caesar and the first eleven Emperors of the Roman Empire was written in 121 AD.

Eleventh Emperor of the Roman Empire
October 51 – September 96
Younger brother of Titus, Domition appears to have been envious of his brother’s position. He is believed to have poisoned his brother to gain the throne. His reign lasted 15 years and in this time he was both loved and hated. The common people and army loved him for his financial measures, building projects and successful wars. The Senate, on the other hand thought him to be autocratic and imperious. He demanded to be addressed as: “Master and God”. He was assassinated by court officials.
