I saw this huge, beautiful area while on road 2017 coming down the backside of Pine Mountain and thought it was amazing. I was astonished that there were not many caches out there and decided to remedy the situation by starting a series of caches in the buttes called “It’s a Butte!”
There are lots of good roads to Mahogany Butte. It's an easy drive to within a short uphill hike of the cache. Enjoy the gorgeous country and the view.
