Geocache Description:

The cache IS at the published location, but to log this cache as a find you must first find and log ten different caches in the UK, seven with a different colour of the rainbow in their name plus three other colours.

A few simple rules apply:

  1. All qualifying caches must be in the UK.
  2. Retrospective finds are allowed, as long as they qualify in all other respects.
  3. A mix of any types of caches will qualify, excepting Event caches.
  4. You may not use any cache placed or owned by you as a qualifying cache.
  5. You may only use one single colour from any one series (for example you may use just one colour from The London Rainbow Cache series by Rodz, and another from the Milton Keynes Boundary Walk series by various cachers, but again just the one colour).
  6. Stand-alone caches qualify; they do not have to be part of a series.
  7. For caches with two or more qualifying colours in the name, you may use only one of the colours (eg for a cache named Roses are Red, Violets are Blue, you can use it only for Red or Violet or Blue.
  8. Plurals are acceptable, but not, for example, AlteRED or BLUEbottle.
  9. For the extra three colours, use your discretion. For example caches named "Long John SILVER" or "In The PINK" would apply. Any word generally recognised as a colour is acceptable (eg LIME or CHESTNUT). If in any doubt please contact me before logging a find for a ruling.
  10. You should use the grid below to chart your progress. A copy of this grid (or a substitute showing all the same information) MUST be uploaded as an image file with your Found log for checking, OR all the relevant information must be included in your Found log, OR you should include a link to a Bookmark List showing the qualifying caches, otherwise your log will be deleted.
  11. You may if you wish go and find the physical cache and leave your mark in the log book before qualifying as above, and in this case you should post a note on the cache page saying that you have done so. Only when you have completed the challenge and are ready to submit the completed grid or Bookmark may you log the cache as a find.
  12. Any Found logs not complying with all the above conditions will be deleted.

Update 14 November 2012 - Please note that as of today Rule 5 above has been amended to cover any series of caches, not just 'rainbow' series.

To add an extra dimension to this cache, for each of your qualifying caches add the Difficulty and Terrain ratings together and enter this number in the final column (so minimum 2 and maximum 10 per cache). When you complete the challenge total these numbers, and the cacher with the highest current total will be credited with their achievement on the cache page. This part is optional - you do not have to join in.

Please do not attempt to drive to the cache. The track along which it is placed is a private drive, with public footpath access only.

Note that the Difficulty rating at the top of the page relates to the Challenge itself, the Terrain rating and attributes refer to the final cache.

This cache contains one of four values,
all of which you will need to access this Challenge Bonus cache.
