This cache is located on a cross country ski trail. Access the trail from the Hastings Auto trail which is a one way road which starts on the north end on Highway114 and comes out on Point Wolf road. Please park as far to the right side as possible to allow cars to get by.

Part of the Hastings settlement, this was John Albert‟s homestead which was considered the home with a “million dollar view”. At the time when John Albert and his family lived here, the land was cleared and they could see three lighthouses (Cape Enrage, Apple River & Isle Haut) along the coast. The Hastings settlement is known today as the Chignecto campground area and once was a community complete with a church and school. Please stay on the trail until you get to the old homestead as use caution as the old basement foundation is only a 10 meters or so away from the cache location.
