Park at the Forest Service gate and hike the FS road down into the canyon. Box Elder Creek flows along through the bottom of the canyon. You must then cross the creek to get to the other side. Follow the creekbed until you find the trail and this will lead you to your destination. There are reference points for all of these locations. Be sure to check out my other cache "Box Elder Creek Phenomenon" as it is along the way.
The caves are located approximately 100ft from the cache. Be sure to go over and check them out as they are pretty cool. This cache is .54 mile hike from the parking area as the crow flies. I rated this cache a 3.5T due to the creek crossing and the steep climb back up FS road that you must make to get back to your vehicle. Trust me on this one, as this adventure is well worth the effort.
