Angel in the Wheat Field Traditional Cache
Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
While out grabbing some caches today, we ran into an old friend from Winfield who began telling us about this site. We were thrilled when she offered to take us to it and once seeing it we just knew we had to bring the rest of the world here!!!! The local lore on this site is that while on the wagon trail a family suffered the death of their young daughter from scarlet fever and had to stop to bury her along the way. Her name was June Elliott-daughter of J.J. & J.L. Elliott, born May 28, 1898 Died Jan 30, 1902. "Beautiful Lovely she was but given a
fair bud to earth to blossom in Heaven" This cache is not meant to be hard to find. Would rather you take some time and just visit this little angel. As we obtain more history on this site we will add to this cache listing.
