Caution: there may be fencing in the surrounding area since the cache is near houses. However, if the cache is approached from the paved bike trail just to the south of the coordinates, then no barbed wire or fences should have to be encountered. Check the waypoint for parking info if you travel by car.
There was a man named Brent who was enamored with the Santa Monica Pier. Though he was raised far away from the Pacific Ocean, he visited Los Angeles as a boy and instantly fell in love with Santa Monica (and subsequently, the band Everclear). Burned in his mind were images of the bright lights of the arcade, the crashing waves under the boardwalk, and the salty smell of ocean air.
As a keepsake of the place he longed to return to, Brent collected arcade tokens in a mint case resembling a California license plate. He made it his goal to move to the Pacific Ocean when the time was right. When that time arrived, Brent realized he had no need for the case anymore, so he hid it to share his story with those who would listen.
