Geocache Description:

Find out how big our solar system really is as you complete this cache series. In this model the sun is represented by large sculpture of a hand holding a zia symbol at Luz de Amistad Park near the corner of Tramway and Central. This Zia, a symbol for the sun, is about four meters in diameter. The distances of each planet to the sun and the diameter of each planet is to scale relative to the sun.

Mars, the fourth planet from the sun, is located about 650 meters from the sun in this scale model. Mars, roughly half the diameter of the Earth, is 19 millimeters in diameter. You will be unable to see the sun from the location of Mars, it is to the north, behind the Smiths.

After removing the cache from it's location, give the attached string a tug, and the cache should open up and reveal the log.

Fun Facts:
The Curiosity Rover, set to land on Mars in August 2012 may finally answer the question if Mars ever has, or possibly even still does, support life.

Though much smaller than Earth, Mars contains the largest known mountain and deepest known canyon in the solar system.

Congratulations to Team Tuxawuxa for FTF!
