Mill Creek Overhang Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Team Red Oak: Came out over the weekend to check on the cache. This was actually the first time this year we were able to get out on the water between weather and work schedule. Anyway the hiding location has changed somewhat and the cache is gone. If we replace it, the hide will be totally different.

Geocache Description:

A boat is required to find this cache. A canoe or kayak would be the best choice. You could use a large boat but I'm not sure if you could get close enough.

We did not have to get out of our kayak to place the cache.

Bring you own pen.

Although the container is considered small, there is not much room for anything but the log.

Do not detach the container just open the lid and pull out the log.

We used the boat launch at Greenbury Point past the Naval Academy golf course. The area is open to everyone no military ID required. Make a day of it and find the other caches out here too.

Bring your camera there are Osprey nests everywhere and we saw several Blue Heron in the area.

Take your time and go fishing while you're on the water.

There is boat traffic coming and going but it is not as busy as the Severn River.

While you're out here paddle to our other cache "A Bridge too Far" we hope you enjoy our first hydro caches.
