This is the event to welcome cachers to the beautiful Berkshires for our Geobash week. We will have all the schedules and some recommended
lists of caches in the area for all different ages and abilities.
We have enjoyed hosting over the past three years our annual pancake breakfast events. Last year we changed things around and held the event during the maple syrup season and offered everyone a chance to see maple syrup being made, samples of hot syrup right out of the evaporator and sugar on snow.
This year, we are inviting everyone to kick off their fun-filled geocaching week at our home and future site of the new Windsor Hill Sugar House. Unfortunately, maple syrup season is over, but we will fill our new evaporator with water and fire her up, so all of you who are interested, but never got a chance to visit a sugarhouse during the season, can enjoy the experience of seeing the steam rise off and see just how syrup is made. Alas, since it will only be water in the machine, the sweet, rich aroma of boiling maple syrup will be missing, and no fresh, hot sample will be available. (But, you can always come back next year and visit us during the season!!)
We will also be offering, for anyone interested, a full pancake breakfast with fresh syrup from this past season for just $5.00 from 8am-10am.
